Job Description:
Soliant is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a full-time, school-based position in Sterling Heights, MI. The SLP will work with students to assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders. This is a wonderful opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of students and support their academic and social development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments of students’ speech and language abilities.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s needs.
- Provide direct therapy services to students in both individual and group settings.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school personnel to enhance students’ communication skills.
- Maintain accurate documentation of therapy sessions and student progress.
- Participate in IEP meetings to discuss goals, progress, and recommendations for students.
- Provide training and support to staff and families regarding speech and language strategies.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Valid Michigan state SLP licensure or eligibility for licensure.
- ASHA certification (CCC-SLP) preferred.
- Previous experience in a school setting is a plus but not mandatory.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
