Job Description:
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our school-based team in South Chicago, IL. The ideal candidate will be passionate about helping students develop their communication skills, providing assessments, therapy, and support to enhance their academic and social success.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of students' speech, language, and communication abilities.
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans tailored to each student's needs.
- Provide direct therapy services to students, including individual and group sessions.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to integrate therapy strategies into the classroom and home environments.
- Maintain accurate records of therapy sessions, progress reports, and student outcomes.
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, providing insights and recommendations for students' speech and language goals.
- Stay current with best practices and advancements in speech-language pathology.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Valid license to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Illinois.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively with students, parents, and educational staff.
- Experience in a school setting is preferred but not required.
