Job Overview:
We are seeking passionate and skilled Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) to join our team in Westland, MI. These school-based roles offer the opportunity to work with students across various grade levels, providing critical support to enhance communication skills and academic success. Full-time and part-time positions are available to accommodate different professional preferences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders in school-aged children
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's needs
- Provide therapy sessions to improve speech articulation, fluency, language comprehension, and expressive skills
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational staff to support student progress
- Maintain detailed documentation of student evaluations, treatment plans, and progress reports
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide expertise on communication needs
- Stay current with best practices and continuing education in the field of speech-language pathology
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid Michigan SLP license or eligibility to obtain one
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred, but Clinical Fellowship (CF) candidates will be considered
- Experience working in a school setting is a plus
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
