Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) School-Based Position
Location: New Orleans, Louisiana
Position: Full-Time, K-12
Job Overview:
We are seeking a qualified and motivated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a full-time school-based position in New Orleans, Louisiana. This role involves working with students across K-12 grades to address communication and speech challenges, fostering academic and social success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders in a diverse student population
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and goals
- Provide direct therapy to students in 1:1 and group settings
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support students’ IEP goals
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and evaluations
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide professional recommendations
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Current licensure or eligibility for licensure as an SLP in Louisiana
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Previous school-based or pediatric experience is highly desirable
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
