Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) School-Based Position in West Warwick, RI

Position Overview:
We are seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team in West Warwick, RI! This school-based position offers an exciting opportunity to work with students in a dynamic educational environment. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to enhancing students' communication skills and making a positive impact on their academic success.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments to determine students’ needs.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to the needs of each student.
- Provide direct therapy services to students with speech, language, articulation, fluency, and voice disorders.
- Collaborate with teachers, school administrators, and other specialists to support the academic and social development of students.
- Participate in IEP (Individualized Education Program) meetings, setting appropriate goals and monitoring student progress.
- Document therapy progress and communicate with parents and school staff regularly.
- Provide guidance and support to teachers on strategies to support students with speech and language challenges.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of student performance and progress toward goals.
- Stay current with speech therapy techniques, interventions, and relevant research.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Rhode Island state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (or eligibility for licensure).
- ASHA Certification (CCC-SLP) preferred, but Clinical Fellows (CFs) are welcome to apply.
- Experience in a school or pediatric setting is desirable, but not required.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with students, parents, and staff.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and caseloads efficiently.
- Passion for helping students improve their communication abilities and reach their academic potential.
