Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) School-Based Position in San Marcos, CA

Position Overview:
We are looking for a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team in San Marcos, CA. In this school-based role, you will provide individualized support to students, helping them overcome communication challenges and enhance their academic success. Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate students’ speech, language, and communication skills.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each student’s specific needs.
- Provide direct therapy services to students with a range of communication disorders, including articulation, language delays, fluency, and voice disorders.
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and parents to ensure students’ goals are met both academically and socially.
- Participate in IEP (Individualized Education Program) meetings to provide input and recommendations for students’ therapy goals.
- Monitor student progress and adjust therapy plans as necessary to ensure optimal improvement.
- Maintain detailed documentation of all therapy sessions, assessments, and student progress.
- Educate and empower families by providing resources and guidance to support communication development at home.
- Participate in professional development and ongoing training to stay current with industry best practices.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Current California licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (or eligibility for licensure).
- ASHA Certification (CCC-SLP) preferred; Clinical Fellows (CFs) are encouraged to apply.
- Experience in a school or pediatric setting is a plus, but not required.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with a team of professionals.
- Organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage caseloads effectively.
- Passion for working with children and a commitment to their growth and success.
