Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) School-Based Position in Oneonta, AL
Position Overview:
We are looking for a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team in Oneonta, AL! This school-based position offers an exciting opportunity to work with students in a supportive and collaborative environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping students develop communication skills that are essential to their academic and social success.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments to identify students' needs.
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans based on each student's specific needs and goals.
- Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students with a variety of disorders, including articulation, language delays, fluency, and voice disorders.
- Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and parents to support student learning and development.
- Participate in IEP (Individualized Education Program) meetings and contribute to the development of individualized goals and interventions.
- Track and document student progress, providing regular updates to parents and school staff.
- Provide consultation and recommendations to educators regarding classroom accommodations and strategies for supporting students with speech and language challenges.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations regarding student documentation and services.
- Stay current with best practices and professional development in speech-language pathology.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Alabama state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (or eligibility for licensure).
- ASHA Certification (CCC-SLP) preferred, but Clinical Fellows (CFs) are encouraged to apply.
- Experience working in a school setting or with children is preferred, but not required.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, parents, and other team members.
- Passion for supporting the growth and development of children.
