Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) School-Based Position in Muenster, IL

Position Overview:
We are seeking a passionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our school-based team in Muenster, IL. In this position, you will work directly with students of various age groups to enhance their speech and language skills, ensuring they achieve their academic and personal communication goals. Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate students' speech, language, and communication needs.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment results to help students overcome challenges in speech, language, and communication.
- Provide direct therapy to students, focusing on areas such as articulation, language disorders, fluency, and voice issues.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to develop strategies for integrating communication skills into the classroom and daily school activities.
- Participate in and contribute to Individualized Education Plan (IEP) meetings, offering recommendations to support each student's unique needs.
- Regularly monitor and document progress, making adjustments to therapy plans as needed to ensure success.
- Educate and empower parents to implement speech and language strategies at home to support student progress.
- Maintain accurate and timely records of therapy sessions, progress reports, and assessments.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Active Illinois state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist or eligibility to obtain.
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; Clinical Fellows (CFs) are welcome to apply.
- Previous experience in a school setting is highly preferred but not required.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to adapt to diverse student needs and create a positive, engaging learning environment.
