Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) School-Based Position in Little Rock, AR
Position Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team in Little Rock, AR. As an SLP in this school-based role, you will provide essential speech and language services to students, helping them overcome communication barriers and achieve academic success. Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments to evaluate students' needs.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each student's specific goals and abilities.
- Provide direct therapy services to students with speech, language, fluency, and voice disorders.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, special education teams, and parents to track and support student progress.
- Participate in IEP (Individualized Education Program) meetings to contribute to student goal development.
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting therapy plans as needed for continued improvement.
- Educate parents and caregivers on strategies and activities to support speech and language development at home.
- Maintain accurate records of therapy sessions, assessments, and communications.
- Engage in professional development and stay up-to-date with the latest research and techniques in speech therapy.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Arkansas state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (or eligibility for licensure).
- ASHA Certification (CCC-SLP) preferred, but Clinical Fellows (CFs) are encouraged to apply.
- Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting is a plus but not required.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Organized, with excellent time management and caseload management skills.
- Passionate about helping students grow and succeed.
