Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) School-Based Position in Annapolis, MD
Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team in Annapolis, MD. This position involves working with students of various ages in a school setting, providing speech and language therapy to support their academic and communication development. Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify students' speech, language, and communication needs.
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans that align with students' specific goals and needs.
- Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students, addressing areas such as articulation, language delays, fluency, and voice disorders.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school professionals to integrate speech and language goals into the classroom environment.
- Participate in Individualized Education Plan (IEP) meetings and provide input to support the academic and social success of students.
- Monitor and track student progress, adjusting therapy plans as necessary to achieve optimal results.
- Educate parents on ways to reinforce therapy goals at home and support student progress.
- Maintain accurate records of therapy sessions, assessments, and progress notes in compliance with school policies and state regulations.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Maryland state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist or eligibility to obtain.
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; Clinical Fellows (CFs) are encouraged to apply.
- Experience in a school setting is preferred but not required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, families, and colleagues.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage caseloads efficiently.
