Caseload: K-8 Students, Max 75 Students
Job Overview:
We are looking for a passionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our supportive team in Fort Wayne, IN for the 2024-2025 school year. This is a full-time, onsite role with a K-8th grade caseload, and Clinical Fellows are welcome to apply! The district offers lots of support and a collaborative environment with experienced staff, making it an excellent opportunity for new and seasoned SLPs alike.
Position Details:
- Schedule: Full-time, 37.5 hours/week
- Dates: August 8, 2024 – May 21, 2025
- Caseload: K-8 students, maximum of 75 students (less for severe/profound cases)
- Sites: 1-2 building sites typically
Key Features:
- 3 to 1 Therapy Model: 3 weeks of therapy services, 1 week of indirect work
- Support System:
- 2 Instructional Assistants who are licensed SLPs
- Weekly and monthly meetings with all SLP staff
- Training on IEP software (Indiana IEP) and help setting up IEP meetings
- Assistance with overflow evaluations if needed
- Workload Model: Caseloads are managed based on severity, and no RTI
- Medicaid Logs: Service logs required for Medicaid billing
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active Indiana SLP license or eligibility
- Clinical Fellows welcome to apply (no SLPAs)
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Experience with IEP software (Indiana IEP) is a plus
