Job Description:
We are looking for a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our school-based team in Elmira, CA. The ideal candidate will be committed to helping students develop their communication skills, providing assessments, therapy, and support to promote their academic and social success.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of students' speech, language, and communication abilities.
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans tailored to each student's needs.
- Provide direct therapy services to students in both individual and group settings.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to integrate therapy strategies into the classroom and home environments.
- Maintain accurate records of therapy sessions, progress reports, and student outcomes.
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, offering insights and recommendations for students' speech and language goals.
- Stay current with best practices and advancements in speech-language pathology.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Valid license to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist in California.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively with students, parents, and educational staff.
- Experience in a school setting is preferred but not required.
