Job Description: We are looking for a compassionate and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a school-based role in Ridgefield, CT. The SLP will assess, diagnose, and treat students with speech and language disorders, helping them improve their communication skills and succeed academically.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct detailed assessments and evaluations of students with communication disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) based on assessment results.
- Provide direct therapy services for students with speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to create a supportive learning environment.
- Track and document student progress, adjusting therapy strategies as needed.
- Attend IEP meetings and provide expertise on communication strategies and accommodations.
- Educate staff and families on speech and language development and effective communication techniques.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Current Connecticut state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred; Clinical Fellows (CFs) are welcome to apply.
- Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting is an advantage.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong focus on teamwork.
