Role Summary:
As an SLP, you will assess, diagnose, and provide treatment for students facing communication challenges. Your expertise in augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) will be key in facilitating effective communication for those with diverse needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive assessments to identify communication disorders.
- Create and implement personalized treatment plans, emphasizing AAC strategies.
- Deliver direct therapy to students, fostering their communication skills.
- Work collaboratively with educators, parents, and staff to enhance student outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with documentation and reporting requirements.
- Actively participate in IEP meetings, sharing insights on student progress.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders.
- Current state licensure as an SLP in Kentucky.
- AAC endorsement is mandatory.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
