Position Details:
Position #1: Full-Time SLP – Primary School
- Start Date: January 2025
- Full School Year
- Full-time hours, 37.5 hours per week
- K-5 caseload
Position #2: SLP for Maternity Leave – Elementary
- Start Date: End of January or Early February 2025
- 8-week maternity leave coverage
- Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
- K-5 caseload
Position #3: Part-Time SLP – Intermediate
- 1 day per week
- Full school year
- K-8 caseload
Who We’re Looking For:
We are seeking a talented SLP for one of the available positions at Jefferson County Schools. We are open to CFYs and SLPAs, though SLP-CCC candidates will be given priority. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a supportive school district and help students improve their communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language therapy services to students with communication disorders
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students
- Collaborate with school staff and families to support students’ academic and social growth
- Maintain documentation of student progress and participate in IEP meetings
Required Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid SLP licensure in Alabama (or eligibility)
- CCC or CFY (depending on the position)
- Experience working with K-8 caseloads preferred
