Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team in Port Charlotte, FL. This school-based role involves assessing, diagnosing, and treating students with speech, language, and communication disorders to support their academic and social success.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations to diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans.
- Provide speech-language services in individual and group settings.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure student progress.
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to setting therapy goals.
- Maintain accurate and thorough records of student progress and adapt therapy strategies as needed.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Valid Florida SLP license or eligibility to obtain one.
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred, but CFY candidates are encouraged to apply.
- School-based experience is a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well within a collaborative team environment.
