Job Description: We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team in Painted Post, NY. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive speech and language services to students in a school setting, helping them overcome communication challenges and achieve academic success.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify speech, language, and communication disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to each student’s needs.
- Provide direct therapy services, addressing articulation, language, fluency, voice, and social communication skills.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support communication goals and integrate them into the classroom environment.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and modify treatment plans as needed.
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide recommendations based on student progress and assessment results.
- Educate and guide staff and families on speech and language development and strategies to support students’ communication needs.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Valid New York state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred, but Clinical Fellows are encouraged to apply.
- Experience working in a school setting is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
