Job Title: School Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
Location: Ogden, PA
Job Type: Part-Time (3 days/week, with potential to increase to Full-Time)
Position Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team to support our early intervention students. This part-time position is currently 3 days per week, with the potential to grow into a full-time role as the caseload expands. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with young children, a solid understanding of early childhood development, and experience in early intervention services.
Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Valid PA State Speech-Language Pathologist License.
- ASHA certification (CCC-SLP) preferred.
- Previous experience working with young children, particularly in early intervention, is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with a team of educators, therapists, and parents.
- Passion for working with children with diverse needs and backgrounds.
- Patience, empathy, and a commitment to helping children achieve their communication potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language therapy to early intervention students with a variety of speech and language disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on each student’s needs and goals.
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments to diagnose speech and communication disorders.
- Work collaboratively with parents, teachers, and other specialists to monitor student progress and make necessary adjustments to therapy plans.
- Provide guidance and support to families on strategies and exercises to continue speech and language development at home.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of therapy sessions, progress notes, and evaluations.
- Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with the school’s multidisciplinary team to ensure students’ needs are met.
- Stay current with developments in speech-language pathology techniques, practices, and tools.
Schedule & Work Hours:
- Initially, 3 full days per week, with potential to increase to 5 days per week as caseload grows.
- Flexible scheduling options available.
