Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
Location: Norfolk, VA
Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our school district team. The SLP will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, and communication disorders in students. This role involves collaborating with educators, parents, and other support staff to develop and implement effective therapy plans.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify speech and language disorders
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Provide direct therapy services to students
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student progress
- Monitor and document student progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of IEPs
Requirements:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Experience working in a school setting is preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
