Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our school-based team in New Oxford, PA. The SLP will work with students to assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders, helping them succeed academically and socially. Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to identify speech and language disorders in students.
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans tailored to each student’s needs.
- Provide direct therapy services to students, addressing speech, language, articulation, fluency, and communication difficulties.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to support students’ communication needs in the classroom and beyond.
- Participate in IEP meetings and maintain accurate documentation of student progress.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations regarding speech and language services in schools.
- Educate staff and families on strategies to enhance communication and language development at school and home.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Valid Pennsylvania state license or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred.
- Prior experience in a school setting is a plus.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
