Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) Needs in New Plymouth, ID
Job Title: Full-Time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
Location: New Plymouth, ID (Onsite)
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 32.5 - 35 hours per week
Caseload: K-12 Students across Multiple School Sites
Position Overview:
As a full-time, onsite SLP, you will work with students across multiple school sites, assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech and language disorders. You will provide therapy to a diverse range of students, helping them develop communication skills that are vital for their academic and social success. This role offers the chance to make a positive impact in the lives of students in the New Plymouth community.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations for students K-12.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on each student's needs.
- Provide direct speech and language therapy in both individual and group settings.
- Collaborate with teachers and school staff to integrate therapy goals into classroom activities.
- Monitor and document student progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
- Attend and contribute to IEP (Individualized Education Program) meetings.
- Communicate with parents and families to discuss student progress and provide recommendations for continued development.
- Provide staff training on strategies to support students' speech and language development.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Current Idaho state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP).
- ASHA (American Speech-Language-Hearing Association) certification (CCC-SLP) preferred.
- Experience working with K-12 students is preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Compassionate and dedicated to improving students’ communication skills.
