Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to diagnose speech and language disorders or delays in high school students.
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans that address students' unique communication needs.
- Provide virtual speech and language therapy using evidence-based approaches.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and related service providers to integrate communication goals into academic plans.
- Monitor and document student progress toward therapy goals.
- Guide educators and families on promoting communication skills in the virtual learning environment.
- Participate in virtual IEP meetings and collaborate with team members as needed.
- Stay up-to-date with best practices and research in the field of speech-language pathology.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Active license to practice Speech-Language Pathology in Kentucky.
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP).
- Minimum of two years of experience in school-based or educational settings (clinical experience considered on a case-by-case basis).
- Familiarity with teletherapy platforms and technology for virtual service delivery is preferred.
- Reliable high-speed internet connection and an up-to-date personal computer.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with a cross-functional team.
