Job Description:
We are excited to welcome a dedicated and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to our team in La Crescenta-Montrose, California. The successful candidate will provide high-quality speech and language therapy services to students, helping them enhance their communication abilities and achieve their academic goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct detailed speech and language assessments.
- Develop and execute individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with speech and language challenges.
- Deliver direct therapy services to students in one-on-one and group settings.
- Partner with teachers, parents, and other school professionals to support student development.
- Track and document student progress, adapting interventions as needed.
- Engage in IEP meetings, offering expert advice and recommendations.
- Stay updated on current trends and best practices in speech-language pathology.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Valid California State License in Speech-Language Pathology (issued by the California Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology Board).
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
- California Clinical or Rehabilitative Services Credential in Language, Speech, and Hearing (or eligibility to obtain this credential).
- Previous experience working in a school environment is preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
