Job Title: Speech-Language Pathologist
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive speech and language services to students with communication disorders in a school setting. This role involves conducting assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, and collaborating with educators, parents, and other professionals to support students’ communication needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments of students’ speech, language, voice, and fluency skills to identify communication disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's needs.
- Provide direct therapy services to students, both individually and in groups, to address speech and language deficits.
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school personnel to integrate speech and language goals into the classroom and home environments.
- Participate in IEP meetings, providing insights and recommendations for students’ speech and language development.
- Educate staff and parents on speech and language disorders, providing strategies and resources to support student communication.
- Maintain accurate and timely records in compliance with federal, state, and school regulations.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Current California State License in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
- California Clinical or Rehabilitative Services Credential in Language, Speech, and Hearing (or eligibility to obtain).
- Experience working with children in a school setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Additional Requirements:
- Valid California driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Fingerprint clearance and background check as required by the school district.
- Tuberculosis (TB) test clearance.
