Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Mt. Clemens, MI
Requirements: Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Michigan State Licensure
Pay Range: $35-$55 per hour, based on experience
Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team in Mt. Clemens, MI. This position will involve providing high-quality speech and language therapy services in a school-based setting, helping students improve their communication skills and overall academic success. The ideal candidate will be passionate about working with children and committed to making a positive impact on students' lives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language assessments to evaluate students' communication abilities.
- Develop individualized therapy plans based on assessment results and student needs.
- Provide direct therapy to students individually or in small groups.
- Monitor and document student progress and make adjustments to therapy plans as needed.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students’ communication development.
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of communication goals.
- Offer consultation and support to staff and families regarding speech and language issues.
Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Valid state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Michigan.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred, though Clinical Fellows (CFs) are welcome to apply.
- Experience working in a school or pediatric setting is a plus.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Passion for working with children and improving their communication abilities.
