Job Description: We are looking for a passionate and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team in Monticello, MN. The SLP will be responsible for evaluating and treating students with communication disorders in a school setting, ensuring that each child reaches their potential.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to identify speech and language disorders in students.
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to the specific needs of each student.
- Provide direct therapy services to students with a range of communication challenges, including articulation, language delays, and fluency disorders.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to support students' communication needs and integrate strategies into the classroom.
- Track and document student progress, adjusting therapy methods as needed to meet educational goals.
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute insights regarding communication goals and strategies.
- Educate teachers and families about speech and language development and resources available for support.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Current Minnesota state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred; Clinical Fellows (CFs) are welcome to apply.
- Prior experience in a school environment is a plus but not mandatory.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative approach to working with students and staff.
