Pay Range: $35-$55 per hour, based on experience
Position Overview:
We are looking for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team in Monroe, MI. This full-time position will focus on providing speech and language therapy services in a school-based setting. You will work with students to assess their communication needs and provide targeted interventions to improve speech and language skills, helping them succeed academically and socially.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language evaluations to determine students' communication abilities.
- Create and implement individualized therapy plans tailored to the needs of each student.
- Provide direct therapy services to students individually or in small groups.
- Track and document student progress and make adjustments to therapy goals as necessary.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to student development.
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of individualized goals for speech and language.
- Provide support and recommendations to staff and families on speech-language-related issues.
Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Current Michigan state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred, though Clinical Fellows (CFs) are encouraged to apply.
- Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting is a plus.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- A passion for helping children improve their communication abilities and thrive academically.
