Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Minnehaha Springs, WV
Requirements: Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, West Virginia State Licensure
Pay Range: $35-$55 per hour, based on experience
Position Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a school-based position in Minnehaha Springs, WV. This role involves providing high-quality speech and language therapy services to students in a school setting. You will work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other professionals to improve students’ speech, language, and communication skills, ensuring they reach their full potential in the classroom and beyond.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders.
- Develop individualized treatment plans to address students' specific needs.
- Provide direct therapy to students with speech and language impairments, either individually or in small groups.
- Track and document student progress and adjust therapy plans accordingly.
- Participate in IEP meetings, collaborating with educational teams to create measurable goals.
- Provide counseling and support to families, helping them reinforce speech and language skills at home.
- Advise teachers on strategies to accommodate students with communication challenges in the classroom.
- Maintain accurate records of therapy sessions, evaluations, and progress reports.
- Adhere to state and federal guidelines and regulations related to speech therapy services.
Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited university.
- West Virginia State Licensure as an SLP.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred, but Clinical Fellows (CFs) are encouraged to apply.
- Experience in a school-based setting is preferred, but not required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Passion for working with children and improving their academic and social outcomes.
