Job Description:
We are seeking a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team in Yukon, OK, focusing on a middle school setting. The SLP will assess, diagnose, and treat students with speech and language disorders, providing them with the support needed to succeed academically and socially. This position requires collaboration with teachers, parents, and other professionals to create and implement individualized therapy plans tailored to the unique needs of middle school students.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough speech and language evaluations for middle school students
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) to address communication needs
- Provide direct speech therapy services to improve communication skills and social interaction
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to monitor student progress
- Maintain accurate records of student assessments, progress, and documentation for IEP meetings
- Participate in professional development and stay current with best practices in speech therapy
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid Oklahoma SLP license or eligibility for licensure
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Experience working in a school-based setting, particularly with middle school students, is a plus
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
