Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) - Madera, CA (School-Based)
Job Description: We are currently hiring a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team in Madera, CA. This school-based role is focused on supporting students in their communication development by assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, and communication disorders. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with educators, parents, and other school professionals to create a positive learning environment for students.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for students with speech, language, and communication challenges.
- Deliver direct therapy to students, addressing articulation, fluency, voice, and receptive/expressive language disorders.
- Monitor student progress and adjust therapy goals as needed.
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide input on speech and language interventions.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to ensure students’ success.
- Educate school staff and families on strategies to improve student communication skills.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with state and school policies.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Valid California state license as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred.
- Experience in a school-based setting is advantageous.
- Strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment.
