Work Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:30 AM - 3:30 PM
Caseload: Pre K - Grade 5 and Grades 6-12 (2 buildings located next to each other)
About the Position: Blazer Jobs, in partnership with the Le Sueur school district, is seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for the current school year. This is a full-time, onsite position with a caseload of 55-70 students. Although the caseload is substantial, there is a list of students to be dismissed soon, and some students have very limited therapy time. You will work across two buildings, providing services to students from pre-kindergarten to grade 12.
Daily Responsibilities:
- Conduct initial evaluations and re-evaluations for students
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students
- Provide speech and language therapy services to students
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support student progress
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and services provided
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of IEP goals
- Monitor and adjust therapy plans as needed to meet student needs
- Stay informed of best practices and developments in the field of speech-language pathology
Caseload Details:
- Initial evaluations: Approx. 5 for the rest of the year
- Re-evaluations: Approx. 1/3 of the caseload, around 40 students
- Current caseload cleanup: A number of students have met their goals but still receive speech therapy. Our SLPs are addressing this and have identified others for potential dismissal.
