Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Katy, TX
Requirements: Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Texas State Licensure
Pay Range: $35-$55 per hour, based on experience
Position Overview:
We are looking for a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a school-based position in Katy, TX. As an SLP, you will be responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and treating speech and language disorders in students. You will work closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals to provide comprehensive therapy services and ensure that each student reaches their potential in communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of students with speech and language challenges.
- Develop individualized treatment plans to address the unique needs of each student.
- Provide direct speech therapy services, both one-on-one and in group settings.
- Monitor and document student progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
- Participate in Individualized Education Plan (IEP) meetings and collaborate with educators to set goals and provide recommendations.
- Communicate with parents and caregivers, offering guidance and strategies to support speech and language development at home.
- Provide support to teachers to accommodate students with communication difficulties in the classroom.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of therapy services, assessments, and progress.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations regarding speech and language services.
Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited university.
- Valid Texas State Licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred, but Clinical Fellows (CFs) are welcome to apply.
- Experience in a school-based setting is a plus, but not required.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
- Passion for working with children and helping them succeed academically and socially.
