Job Description: We are looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team in Jacksonville, NC. The SLP will provide essential services to students with speech and language disorders, fostering their communication skills and enhancing their academic performance within a school setting.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to identify speech and language disorders in students.
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's needs.
- Provide direct therapy services to students addressing various speech and language challenges, including articulation, language delays, and fluency disorders.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other specialists to support students’ communication goals and implement effective strategies within the classroom.
- Document and track student progress, adjusting therapy methods as needed to ensure educational success.
- Attend IEP meetings and provide insights regarding communication strategies and outcomes.
- Educate families and school staff about speech and language development and available resources for support.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Current North Carolina state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred; Clinical Fellows (CFs) are encouraged to apply.
- Experience in a school setting is a plus but not required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative approach to supporting student needs.
