Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Independence, MO
Requirements: Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Missouri State Licensure
Pay Range: $35-$55 per hour, based on experience
Position Overview:
We are currently seeking an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team in Independence, MO. This school-based position offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on the communication development of students in need of speech therapy services. The SLP will assess, diagnose, and treat students with a variety of speech and language disorders, helping them achieve academic and social success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations for students.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on student needs and IEP goals.
- Provide individual and small group therapy services to students with speech and language disorders.
- Monitor student progress and adjust therapy plans accordingly.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to create a supportive learning environment.
- Participate in IEP meetings, providing recommendations for services and accommodations.
- Provide guidance and training to parents and staff regarding speech and language development.
- Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of student progress and therapy services.
- Adhere to all federal and state regulations regarding speech therapy services.
Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Active Missouri State Licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP).
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred, but Clinical Fellows (CFs) are encouraged to apply.
- Prior experience in a school-based setting is preferred but not required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Passion for working with children and making a positive impact on their educational journey.
