Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments to identify students’ speech and language needs.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each student.
- Work closely with educators and parents to ensure that speech and language goals are integrated into the students' overall educational programs.
- Monitor and document student progress, making necessary adjustments to therapy plans.
- Participate in IEP meetings, providing expert input on speech and language goals and strategies.
- Offer support and training to teachers and parents on how to assist students in improving their communication skills in the classroom and at home.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Must hold an active or pending Texas SLP license.
- Experience in a school setting, particularly with IEPs, is highly preferred.
- Strong ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent communication skills and a compassionate, student-centered approach.
- Commitment to maintaining accurate records and adhering to ethical and legal standards in speech-language pathology.
