BlazerJobs is seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for an onsite position in an elementary school setting in Gulfport, MS. The ideal candidate will provide both speech and language services as well as evaluations for students, helping to address communication delays, articulation issues, and other speech disorders. Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct speech-language therapy services to elementary school students with speech and language disorders.
  • Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations to assess students’ needs, document progress, and help develop individualized therapy plans.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans and strategies to address articulation, language development, fluency, and other communication challenges.
  • Monitor and track student progress, adjusting therapy plans as necessary to meet students' goals.
  • Participate in IEP meetings to present evaluation results and provide recommendations for speech and language services.
  • Provide consultation and guidance to school staff and parents regarding communication strategies and classroom accommodations.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of therapy services, student progress, and evaluations.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages communication and language development.

Requirements:

  • Active Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license/certification in the state of Mississippi (MS) (Required)
  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology (Required)
  • Previous experience in providing speech and language therapy in a school setting (Preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of speech and language disorders, interventions, and evaluation techniques
  • Ability to develop and implement effective therapy plans for elementary-aged students
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with students, staff, and parents
  • Ability to work independently and manage a caseload efficiently
  • Passionate about helping students develop essential communication skills for academic and social success

Position Details:

  • Location: Gulfport, MS
  • Position Type: Full-Time, Contract (20-35 hours/week)
  • Grade Level: Elementary School
  • Caseload: Services and evaluations for elementary-aged students
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • End Date: End of School Year (EOSY)
