Job Description:
We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team in Goleta, CA. As an SLP in a school-based setting, you will work with students to assess, diagnose, and treat speech and language disorders. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language evaluations for students with communication disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for students.
- Provide individual and group therapy sessions to students with speech and language disorders.
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and parents to ensure that IEP goals are met.
- Monitor and track student progress, adjusting therapy as needed.
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide updates on student progress.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of therapy sessions, assessments, and progress notes.
- Support students in the classroom setting to promote their communication skills in various academic and social contexts.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Current license to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist in California.
- ASHA certification (CCC-SLP) preferred.
- Previous experience working in a school-based setting is a plus.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
- Passion for working with children and helping them develop their communication skills.
