Position Overview:
Sunbelt Staffing is seeking an experienced and dedicated Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team in Lincoln Park, Chicago, Illinois. This full-time position focuses on providing speech and language services to students in grades K-8. As an SLP, you will assess students' needs, deliver tailored therapy, and collaborate with teachers and families to support students' communication development and academic success.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Therapy Services: Provide individual and small-group speech therapy to students in grades K-8, focusing on language development, articulation, fluency, and social communication skills.
- Assessment & Diagnosis: Conduct thorough evaluations to assess speech and language delays, identifying areas for intervention and creating personalized treatment plans.
- Progress Monitoring: Regularly track and document student progress, adjusting therapy plans to meet the needs outlined in each student’s IEP.
- Collaborative Support: Work closely with teachers, parents, and school staff to ensure that students receive the most effective and holistic support for their communication goals.
Qualifications:
- Licensure: Active Illinois Speech Language Pathologist license required.
- Experience: Experience in a K-8 school setting is preferred, especially with students experiencing speech delays or language disorders.
- Skills: Strong communication skills, ability to work independently, and excellent organization to manage multiple caseloads.
