Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for the School Year

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team in Birmingham, AL. This is a full-time, full-year position with an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students' communication skills and academic success.
Job Description:
As a Speech-Language Pathologist contracted through Soliant Education, you will work within a supportive and collaborative environment, providing speech and language therapy services to students across various educational settings. Your role will involve assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, and communication disorders, as well as working closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders in students.
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans based on students' needs and goals.
- Provide direct therapy services to students, including individual and group sessions.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to support students' overall development.
- Monitor and document students' progress, adjusting therapy plans as needed.
- Participate in IEP (Individualized Education Program) meetings and contribute to goal-setting and progress reports.
- Stay updated with the latest research and best practices in speech-language pathology.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Current and valid Speech-Language Pathologist license in Alabama.
- ASHA (American Speech-Language-Hearing Association) Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred.
- Previous experience working with school-aged children is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, families, and educational staff.
