Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team in Calais, Maine. As an integral member of the educational team, the SLP will provide essential speech and language services to students, empowering them to communicate effectively and achieve academic success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify speech and language disorders
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address students' communication needs
- Provide direct therapy services to students both individually and in group settings
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students' communication goals within the classroom and beyond
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of student progress and services provided
- Stay current on best practices and research in the field of speech-language pathology
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field
- Maine state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- ASHA certification (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Experience working with school-aged children preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
