Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for School Based Therapy

Role Overview:
As a Speech-Language Pathologist with Soliant Education, you will be instrumental in assessing and treating communication disorders among students in the Altoona area. Your role will involve creating personalized therapy plans, delivering effective therapy sessions, and working closely with school staff and families to support each student’s success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assessment & Diagnosis: Evaluate and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders in students.
- Therapy Planning: Develop and implement individualized therapy plans tailored to each student’s needs.
- Direct Services: Provide both individual and group therapy sessions.
- Collaboration: Work with teachers, parents, and school personnel to support student development.
- Progress Monitoring: Track and document student progress, adjusting therapy plans as necessary.
- IEP Participation: Contribute to IEP (Individualized Education Program) meetings and goal-setting processes.
- Professional Growth: Stay informed about the latest research and best practices in speech-language pathology.
What We’re Looking For:
- Education: Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Licensure: Valid Speech-Language Pathologist license in Pennsylvania.
- Certification: ASHA (American Speech-Language-Hearing Association) Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) is preferred.
- Experience: Previous experience with school-aged children is highly desirable.
- Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a collaborative approach to working with students, families, and staff.
