Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Felton, DE
Requirements: Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Delaware State Licensure
Pay Range: $35-$55 per hour, based on experience
Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team in Felton, DE. This is a school-based position where the SLP will be responsible for providing high-quality speech and language therapy to students in need, addressing various communication disorders. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping students overcome communication barriers and achieve their full potential in the classroom.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language evaluations and assessments for students with communication disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment results.
- Provide direct therapy services to students with speech, language, fluency, and voice disorders.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to ensure a comprehensive approach to supporting students' communication needs.
- Develop and monitor Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students receiving speech-language services.
- Document progress and adjust therapy goals as necessary to ensure student improvement.
- Offer strategies and advice to teachers and parents to promote student success.
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide insights on student progress and service recommendations.
- Maintain accurate documentation for therapy sessions, assessments, and progress reports.
Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Valid Delaware State Licensure (SLP).
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred, but Clinical Fellows (CFs) are encouraged to apply.
- Prior experience in a school setting is beneficial but not required.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
