Pay Range: $35-$55 per hour, based on experience
Position Overview:
We are looking for a passionate and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team in Farmersville, TX. This school-based position is an excellent opportunity to work with students in a supportive environment, providing vital speech and language services to help them succeed academically and socially. As an SLP, you will play a key role in identifying, diagnosing, and treating speech and language disorders, and working closely with teachers and families to enhance student outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations to assess students’ needs and create individualized treatment plans.
- Provide direct therapy services to students with speech, language, and communication disorders.
- Develop and implement IEP goals and objectives based on student assessments and progress.
- Monitor and track student progress, adjusting therapy plans as necessary.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to create an effective support system for students.
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of goals and strategies.
- Maintain detailed documentation of therapy sessions, assessments, and student progress.
- Stay informed about current speech therapy techniques and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Active Texas State Licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP).
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; Clinical Fellows (CFs) are welcome to apply.
- Experience in a school-based setting preferred, but not required.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for working with students and improving their communication skills.
