Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team in Concord, NC. This school-based position will involve assessing and treating students with speech and language disorders to help them achieve their communication goals and enhance their academic success.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess students' speech and language abilities.
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans tailored to each student's needs.
- Provide direct speech and language therapy to students in both individual and group settings.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students’ communication needs across all environments.
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting therapy plans as necessary.
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings to discuss student needs and progress.
- Educate staff and families on strategies to reinforce speech and language skills outside of therapy sessions.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Valid North Carolina state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Experience working with children in a school or pediatric setting preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
