Position Overview:
We are looking for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team in Columbia, SC. This position offers an exciting opportunity to provide speech therapy services in a dynamic and supportive school environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping students improve their speech and communication skills, ensuring they meet their academic and social goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language evaluations to assess students’ communication needs.
- Develop individualized treatment plans for students based on assessment results and their IEP goals.
- Provide individual and group speech therapy sessions to students with communication disorders.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school professionals to monitor student progress.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress, including therapy notes and evaluation reports.
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of IEP goals.
- Stay current with research and best practices in speech-language therapy.
Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- South Carolina State Licensure (or eligibility for licensure).
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred. Clinical Fellows (CFs) are welcome to apply.
- Experience in a school or pediatric setting is preferred but not required.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
