Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Clawson, MI
Requirements: Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Michigan State Licensure
Pay Range: $35-$55 per hour, based on experience
Position Overview:
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team in Clawson, MI. This is a school-based position where you will provide essential services to students with speech and language impairments. You will work closely with educators, parents, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans that will enhance the students' communication skills, academic success, and overall well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to identify speech, language, and communication disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans tailored to each student’s needs.
- Provide direct therapy services to students, including both one-on-one and small group sessions.
- Work closely with school staff, families, and other professionals to ensure consistent and effective communication strategies.
- Monitor student progress, documenting improvements and making adjustments to therapy plans when necessary.
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of measurable, student-centered goals.
- Provide consultation services to teachers and parents to support speech and language development.
- Maintain accurate records of therapy sessions, progress notes, and evaluations.
- Comply with all state and federal regulations regarding speech-language therapy services.
Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Michigan State Licensure (SLP).
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred, though Clinical Fellows (CFs) are welcome to apply.
- Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills.
- Experience working with children in a school setting is a plus, but not required.
