Job Title: School Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)

Location: Chester, PA
Job Type: Part-Time (3 days/week, with potential to increase to Full-Time)


Position Overview:

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team to support our early intervention students. This part-time position is currently 3 days per week, with the potential to grow into a full-time role as the caseload expands. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with young children, a solid understanding of early childhood development, and experience in early intervention services.


Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Valid PA State Speech-Language Pathologist License.
  • ASHA certification (CCC-SLP) preferred.
  • Previous experience working with young children, particularly in early intervention, is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with a team of educators, therapists, and parents.
  • Passion for working with children with diverse needs and backgrounds.
  • Patience, empathy, and a commitment to helping children achieve their communication potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide speech and language therapy to early intervention students with a variety of speech and language disorders.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on each student’s needs and goals.
  • Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments to diagnose speech and communication disorders.
  • Work collaboratively with parents, teachers, and other specialists to monitor student progress and make necessary adjustments to therapy plans.
  • Provide guidance and support to families on strategies and exercises to continue speech and language development at home.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of therapy sessions, progress notes, and evaluations.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with the school’s multidisciplinary team to ensure students’ needs are met.
  • Stay current with developments in speech-language pathology techniques, practices, and tools.

Schedule & Work Hours:

  • Initially, 3 full days per week, with potential to increase to 5 days per week as caseload grows.
  • Flexible scheduling options available.
