Job Description: We are actively seeking a qualified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team in Carlsbad, CA. As an SLP in this school-based role, you will assess, diagnose, and treat students with speech, language, and communication disorders, working closely with educators and families to support the academic and social success of the students.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify speech, language, and communication challenges.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for students with various speech and language disorders.
- Provide direct therapy services to students in individual and group settings.
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, contributing to the development of goals and accommodations.
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and parents to ensure students' speech and language needs are met in the classroom.
- Document and track student progress and adjust therapy plans as needed.
- Provide guidance to school staff and parents on strategies to support student communication.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Valid California state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred.
- Experience working in a school or pediatric setting is ideal.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
