Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a school-based position in Bensenville, IL. The SLP will play a vital role in assessing and treating students with speech and language disorders, ensuring they achieve their full communication potential.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to identify speech and language disorders in students.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's needs.
- Provide direct therapy services to students with various communication challenges, including articulation, fluency, and language disorders.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to create effective communication strategies and educational support.
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting therapy methods as necessary to achieve goals.
- Participate in IEP meetings, providing expertise on communication-related goals and accommodations.
- Offer training and resources to educators and families on speech and language development.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Current Illinois state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred; Clinical Fellows (CFs) are encouraged to apply.
- Experience in a school setting is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
