Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Andover, ME
Requirements: Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Maine State Licensure
Pay Range: $35-$55 per hour, based on experience
Position Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team in Andover, ME. In this school-based role, you will provide essential speech and language services to students, helping them develop the communication skills necessary for academic success. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and the ability to create individualized therapy plans that support diverse needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language assessments to evaluate students' communication abilities.
- Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and provide direct therapy services based on students' needs.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and staff to implement strategies that support student progress.
- Provide individual and group therapy to students with communication disorders.
- Document progress and make adjustments to therapy plans as needed.
- Attend and contribute to IEP meetings, providing recommendations and goals.
- Assist in creating a positive learning environment where students can thrive.
- Provide training and support to school staff and parents on communication strategies.
Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Active Maine State Licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP).
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; Clinical Fellows (CFs) are encouraged to apply.
- Previous experience in a school-based setting is preferred, but not required.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Passionate about working with children and improving their communication abilities.
